La Liga Returns on the 8th of June 2020

The Spanish football returns with the Seville derby this June. Should all go accordingly, La Liga will be completed by the end of July. Games will be played every day for six weeks behind closed doors. All the title, European places, and relegation slots are decided. There is hopefulness after teams have returned to training in the last three days. Five players tested positive for Covid-19, with the president of La Liga, Javier Tebas, telling the risk during games as “virtually non-existent”. The League leaders Barcelona will begin their bid to defend the Spanish title on the 13th of June away to Real Mallorca after the three-month pause due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

As in the Bundesliga, which in May became the first big European league to start after being disturbed by the pandemic. All La Liga games until the end of the season will take place without any spectators. Barca leads Real by two points after 27 games when the campaign got postponed in March due to the coronavirus outbreak.
