ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 – Australia vs Sri Lanka Preview & Prediction
Australia and Sri Lanka come into the series on the back of the good form in the T20Is. Australia previously beat India 2-0 on tour while Sri Lanka comes off a 3-0 clean sweep against Pakistan. However, there were a lot of changes for Sri Lanka with the relatively experienced faces back for this tour. Lasith Malinga, fairly obviously, will be the key bowler who was featured with figures of 5-6. This includes double hat-trick, in his previous T20I against New Zealand. Oshada Fernando also impressed in Pakistan with unbeaten 78 in the previous match of the tour. Also, He chipped in with a 25-ball 38 in the rehearsal match against the Prime Minister’s XI which Sri Lanka missed by one wicket. Nuwan Pradeep upped his game in the previous year or so and chose up seven wickets in the first two T20Is in Pakistan. What further encourages Sri Lanka is the win they had on their last T20I tour of Australia in 2017 by 2-1.
